March 2017 – Peachtree City, Georgia-based Pita Mediterranean Street Food Founder and Managing Member Nour Rabai announced that the company is launching a nationwide franchise program.

Pita Mediterranean Street Food is a fast casual restaurant concept specializing in Mediterranean food, including gyros, shawarma, tawook, kafta, falafel, hummus, baba ghanoush, lebanee, grilled veggies, salads, a special children’s menu, baklava cheesecake and more.  Pita’s food is healthy and tasty, and Mediterranean cuisine is skyrocketing in popularity.

Pita Mediterranean Street Food restaurants are open seven days a week for lunch and dinner and offer dine-in, take-out and catering.  The look is contemporary, fun and comfortable.  Customers order at the counter, and food is delivered to their tables.  The concept currently has five company-owned metro Atlanta locations, including Peachtree City, Newnan, Dunwoody, Roswell and Marietta.

The restaurant features chicken, beef, fish, lamb and vegetarian entrees, along with falafel, hummus, veggies, pita bread and sauces such as tzatziki, tahini and garlic.  The menu meets the needs of people with special diets, including vegetarian, gluten free, halal meat and 100% olive oil.

The inspiration for Pita Mediterranean Street Food began in 2010 with a small family restaurant, The Beirut, in Peachtree City, Georgia.  The encouragement, help and support of neighbors and friends inspired the Rabai family to share their Lebanese culture, food and quality with their community.  From there, over the years, the menu, procedures and attractive design have been perfected.  Pita’s vision is to provide delicious Mediterranean food at a great value in a high-energy environment.  The Franchisor takes pride in offering homemade secret ingredients, prepared daily to insure optimal quality, and featuring fresh, mouth-watering, authentic flavors.

Said Mr. Rabai, “Our primary goal is for Pita Franchise Owners to thrive.  That is why we opened five locations in the Atlanta area.  We wanted to be sure that we had the menu right, the customer service right, the procedures right and the look right.  We wanted to prove that all locations can operate successfully without my being directly involved.  We wanted to develop our Pita commissary so that the food is unfailingly the same for every customer at every visit, no matter who is running the restaurant.   We wanted to ensure the greatest chances for success for Pita Franchise Owners.”

When asked why he decided to franchise, Mr. Rabai responded, “The first reason I began to consider franchising is so many people sought me out to ask me if they could buy a Pita franchise.  I knew there was demand, just as I knew we were creating something really special.  Next, I proved to myself that the concept works in a variety of market areas.  As I studied the franchise method of expansion, I became confident that I could meet my objective of providing meaningful and ample assistance to all Pita Franchise Owners.  I feel that my most important role as a Franchisor is to enable our Franchise Owners to reach their personal goals.  This opportunity was designed for committed owner operators who take pride in serving an outstanding product.”

Steve Raines, President of National Franchise Associates, one of the nation’s leading franchise consulting and development firms, helped create the Pita Mediterranean Street Food franchise program.  Said Raines, “I’m really excited about this concept.  The food is delicious, and there is huge interest in Mediterranean cuisine.  The quality and value are evident in every customer interaction.  There is also plenty of room for growth.  What makes Pita Mediterranean Street Food really unique is Nour Rabai’s work ethic.  He has dedicated himself to this concept and to putting together the systems needed to best guarantee success for Pita Franchise Owners.  He has streamlined and polished the operations so that others can replicate the system.  That is the key to franchising success.  Plus, Franchise Owners can earn a good living working in a business they are proud to own.”
